Facilities Overview

Welcome to the Byron Hunters & Conservationists Circle! Our grounds are home to a diverse range of facilities designed to provide a safe, enjoyable, and memorable outdoor experience for all our members and guests. Below, you’ll find a complete overview of what our club has to offer.

Pistol Range

Our dedicated pistol range is designed for handgun enthusiasts of all skill levels. With multiple covered shooting lanes, solid backstops, and clear safety signage, it’s the perfect spot to practice your marksmanship in a safe and controlled environment. We regularly inspect and maintain the area to meet the highest safety standards.

Rifle Range

For those interested in precision long-distance shooting, our rifle range offers multiple shooting benches, clearly marked distances, and well-maintained targets. Shooters can sight in their rifles, hone accuracy, and participate in scheduled target competitions throughout the season.

Archery Range

Our spacious archery range includes various target distances and life-size 3D targets, making it ideal for bow hunters and target archers alike. Whether you’re a seasoned archer or a beginner learning proper technique, this facility provides a safe and scenic space to practice.

Small Game Hunting Grounds

We maintain designated small game hunting areas on club property, available during approved months (typically January and February). Members can hunt rabbits, squirrels, and other small game species using shotguns only. These areas are carefully managed to encourage healthy wildlife populations while ensuring a safe hunting environment for all.

Camping & Picnic Areas

BSCC isn’t just about shooting sports — we also provide quiet spots for camping and family picnics. Our shaded picnic tables and open campfire rings offer a comfortable space to unwind after a day on the range or in the woods. Bring your family, pack a lunch, and spend quality time together surrounded by nature.

Nature Trails & Hiking Routes

Explore our network of well-marked nature trails that wind through our scenic woodland property. These trails are perfect for peaceful hikes, birdwatching, or simply enjoying a brisk walk through the forest. Members and visitors are encouraged to use the trails respectfully and leave no trace behind.

Range Rules & Safety Guidelines

For everyone’s safety and enjoyment, we ask all members and guests to follow our range rules at all times:

• Always treat firearms and bows as if they are loaded.
• Keep muzzles pointed in a safe direction and fingers off the trigger until ready to shoot.
• Use appropriate eye and ear protection at all times on shooting ranges.
• Follow all posted range commands and obey Range Captains and volunteers.
• Clean up your brass, spent shells, or arrows before leaving.
• Respect wildlife and club property; take all trash with you.
• Alcohol and drugs are strictly prohibited on all shooting ranges.
• Children must be supervised by an adult at all times.
